Giovanni Boschetti consegue la Laurea in Ingegneria Elettronica (indirizzo microelettronica) presso l'Università degli Studi di Padova nel 2000 ed il Dottorato di Ricerca in Meccanica Applicata presso l'Università degli Studi di Brescia nel 2005. La sua attività di ricerca comprende la robotica medica, le interfacce aptiche, le reti di calcolatori e l'automazione industriale. Sino ad oggi è autore o co-autore di pubblicazioni scientifiche, presentate e pubblicate su atti di congressi internazionali, riguardanti studi di natura teorica e sperimentale inerenti la meccanica delle macchine, la robotica medica e il controllo di interfacce aptiche. La maggior parte dell'attività di ricerca è inquadrata in progetti di rilevante interesse nazionale (PRIN) ed in programmi di ricerca a carattere regionale. I principali filoni dell'attività di ricerca nei quali è attualmente coinvolto riguardano sistemi per la robotica medica e per l'automazione industriale.
