Application of a Classical PD Regulator to the Control of a Flexible Planar Closed Chain Linkage

Abstract: This paper presents an approach to the control of a flexible planar closed chain linkage. A very accurate dynamic model of the system is briefly summarized. Such a model is then employed to test a classical PD regulator in simulation to control a flexible planar four-bar linkage. The chosen PD control is described, and the most significant results of the simulation are presented and discussed.
