Abstract: The aim of this paper is to present some preliminary results on the use of haptic technology in remote motor and functional evaluation of hand in patients with neurological impairments, based on a hand orthosis, in bilateral interaction with a master device at therapist's side. The developed system can constitute a basis for a remotely assisted rehabilitation, in which a therapist can also assess the muscular capabilities of the patient.
